The Ghost Child
A story about my friend’s mother pretending she didn’t recognize her own child when she was little, and all the traumatic emotions it brought upon her young soul, triggered my own memories about playfully harassing my little brother when I was about six years old. The impact of that event had repercussions on both of us that lasted all our lives.
